V 8536 leads a convoy of five vehicles down the one 1 in 4 (25%) gradient of Porlock Hill, near Minehead on a card postmarked 1923. Note the side covers to theengine are open on both the first two charabancs. The third is an Albion. The photograph was clearly posed, because a horse and handler are badly blurred on to the left hand side, climbing the hill. [Vowles, Minehead; Alan O. Watkins Colln]
