1200 - 1225 (Rebodied Bristol coaches)

Twenty five L-type Bristol coaches were bodied by beadle for Royal Blue services soon after the Second World War. It was the first post-war investment to modernise the fleet, but after a few years the bodies were scrapped, and the coaches rebodied as full-fronted buses. The finish was similar to the SC4LK coaches then emerging from the Lowestoft plant, but provided a handsome fleet of one-man-operated buses to modernise the largely rural routes in Devon and Cornwall.
